Freshwater Prawn "Shrimp"

2007 shrimp season was a success!!!
We are now readily preparing for the 2008 season!!!

Started out as this

2007 season proved to be a good year as we harvested 1020 pounds 
from our 3 ponds.

Come visit, relax and enjoy the day!!  Bring your lawn chair and pick a spot,
watch as the ponds drain and baskets of prawn/shrimp are scooped up.
Harvest will begin around noon you may choose to just watch the harvest
or you may decide to test a a few out and buy some. Prawns/shrimp will be
weighed out and put on ice for you to purchase. SUPPLY MAY BE LIMITED.
(BRING A COOLER WITH ICE IF YOU PLAN TO PURCHASE)

This will be our 4th year raising prawn/shrimp. We are planning to raise talapia
in cages above the shrimp once again this year. Shrimp season will begin around
the last weekend in May or the first weekend in June. This is when the juvenile
shrimp will be introduced into the ponds. Prawns/shrimp will be ready for harvest
in September. Tentative date is Sept. 13,2008. Check back for any changes.
